Specialization on Wreck Surveying
2nd PADI Underwater Survey Diver Training Course
This distinctive specialty course is the second part of the Specialization on Shipwreck Surveying. The knowledge development session has been completed in January 2016 and the confined water training has run during the first week of February.
The open water session follows towards the surveying and the 3d modeling for selected features of the shipwreck “M/S ΚΑΛΗ ΤΥΧΗ”.
Wreck Detective Training Course
During the first weekend of December (4-6/12), it was completed the PADI Wreck Detective distinctive specialty training course. The specific course has been the initial part of the Specialization on Shipwreck Surveying. Two training dives have been conducted at Agia Kyriaki (Trikeri).
Consequently seven participants have been certified as Wreck Detective Divers. During this part of the specialization, it has been performed the investigation of shipwreck “M/S ΚΑΛΗ ΤΥΧΗ”. The PADI Underwater Survey Diver distinctive specialty course will follow soon towards the surveying and the 3d modeling for selected features of the shipwreck.
Underwater Survey Diver Training Course
During the last weekend (10-11 October) at Skopelos, was conducted for first time the PADI Underwater Survey Diver Training Course. It is a new Distinctive Specialty, which intends to provide the basic knowledge and the appropriate skills at those divers and researchers, which have a special interest in the mapping and the 3D representation of natural and cultural features of the marine environment. By the end of the PADI Underwater Survey Diver Course, it is expected that the certified divers should be able to participate in the preparation and the carrying out of an underwater survey campaign.
