As a result from the first PADI Underwater Survey Diver course, our article “Underwater Recording and 3D Modeling during a Dive Training Course: A Case Study at Panormos, Skopelos, Greece” is going to be published in the next issue of Journal of Environmental Science and Engineering, 9A, 2015 (doi:10.17265/2162-5263/2015.09.001).
During the first PADI Underwater Survey Diver Training Course, on October the 12th, has been organized a workshop for the processing of the recorded data in order to produce a 3D model.
During the second weekend of October (2015) has been organized for first time the PADI Underwater Survey Diver Training Course, at Skopelos.
It is a new Distinctive Specialty, which intends to provide the basic knowledge and the appropriate skills at those divers and researchers, which have a special interest in the mapping and the 3D representation of natural and cultural features of the marine environment. By the end of this course, participants are expected to be able to contribute in the preparation and the carrying out of an underwater survey campaign.
On the 23d of September I have been certified to teach the PADI Wreck Detective Distinctive Specialty
