The Wreck at Kalamitsi: Field for Diving, Training and Research

It was in 1992 when I went for the first time at Kalamitsi. During that period diving was allowed only to designated sites and I was lucky that Georg  (originating from Austria) was operating a diving center at one of the more beautiful (and remote) places of Chalkidiki. The conditions were ideal for diving at the “Wreck” which was a main attraction for divers. It was a unique experience as, like a new diver by this time, I had not faced the spectacle of a sunken ship yet.
