LLC 2020: Introduction to Applied Methods and Procedures for Underwater Surveying

The training course, entitled “Introduction to Applied Methods and Procedures for
Underwater Surveying
” is scheduled to begin this spring.

It is implemented as a Lifelong Learning Course at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh LLC), offering the opportunity of the combined development and practical application of knowledge and skills required to plan, organize, and execute an underwater survey project. The course is addressed to:

  • scientists with research interests in the sea (e.g. environmentalists, geologists, biologists, historians, archaeologists, shipbuilders, engineers etc.), and
  • scuba divers willing to expand their activities in the fields of scientific diving.

The tuition fee for attending the course is €795. Detailed information can be found here .

The application to participate can be submitted online. In case that the maximum number of participants (16 people) is exceeded, available training courses might be repeated in Autumn (September – November).

  • March 9 – 18,
  • April 6 – 14,
  • April 27 – May 5, and
  • June 15 – 23.

The course will be held in the city of Thessaloniki, for the theory teaching and at Chalkidiki, for the practical training. Upon the expression of interest from a minimum number of participants (8 persons), it is given the option to organize part of whole of the course at a different location, providing the support of a diving center.
