General Information and Road Network

By clicking on each park, a window appears, which contains information about its name, location, area, natural habitat types and the official websites. The shape area of every park, which is based on the measurement in QGIS software, is also displayed on the table above and it might be different from the area given from the official websites.In the map below, the road network is also displayed in order to show the possible ways of transportation within the boundaries of the national parks. By clicking on each different type of the network a pop-up window shows the length and the particular type of the road.

Analysing the dynamic map, it is obvious that the road network, within the National Parks, is not dense. Mainly, it consists of secondary routes and paths, in order not to have an impact on the natural beauty and the biodiversity.
